Great British Spring Clean – Waterside

Volunteer litter pickers tackle the river bank in Waterside.

Alice Mann and her team of volunteer litter pickers tackle the river bank in the Waterside area as part of the Great British Spring Clean.  The volunteers spent an hour or two around the river banks in Waterside and collected a number of bags of litter, an old tyre and an abandoned children’s car! They brought plenty of high-visibility vests, litter picking sticks, collection bags and even a sharps disposal box.

A reporter was present from the Daily Mail and he was gathering material for their National Great British Spring Clean campaign.

Well done to everyone – great job!
